My Promise to YOU!

Friday, February 26th, 2010 by admin

First, Happy 2010! I have received many emails from you which have touched me. I truly did not know the impact these small posts had on so many people, and that truly touches my heart.

I stopped posting for a few reasons. First, it was time. Everything that I had asked for from the universe came at me with such speed that I had trouble finding the time to fit in writing. So much in my life has changed and all for the positive.

Secondly, I found out that someone was using my honestly and these blogs as a weapon against me. I will not give energy to this person as their actions have been hurftul and I have had to make peace and move on from them. Ultimately, with all that I know, I feel sorry for this person and wish you all the best and true happiness that you deserve. You know who you are.

So…. I have thought about this hard and long and I have allowed my heart and inner voice to make the decision. I will continue my posts and I will continue to speak from my heart. No, not everyone sees things from my perspective but that is ok and I am ok with it.

I am going to add a couple of fun sections, more a personal diary for myself- all my wins and some of my lessons that I feel might be good to share and hope that you will see the lesson so you won’t have to go through it yourself. I am also going to change the title of this website.

So for that update and then we can move forward in real time:

Visualization is the Key!!! In my quest for asking what I truly wanted my life changed leaps and bounds and with speed!

I am in college taking Recreation and Leisure at Algonquin College and I love it! Yup- even at 32 you can follow your dreams. I  was terrified to be honest but my life continues to change for the better and I am so blessed to be part of this journey. I finished my first semester with a 3.6 GPA! How amazing is that?! I struggled a bit with studying and figuring how to get back into a school schedule along with a new part time job, lesser income and first and foremost still being a MOM FIRST…. I learnt MANY lessons in that first semester and I have to say that my 2nd semester since finding a balance, managing stress and surrounding myself with calm and love I am back on track!

See, the other thing that I wasn’t really expecting was how my going back to school was going to affect my kids. I was sooo worried about keeping everything as normal as possible that when this hit me, I have so say, that it allowed me my true focus.  My kids are starting to treat me with more respect and my son and I have an easier way of  communicating when it comes to school workload and the realities of daily life, cause I am going through almost the same thing. LOL.. funny!

Now, when my daughter dreams about what she wants to do when she grows up, I get to engage in those same dreams and it is FUN! I am learning things in school and implementing them in my parenting and I love the fun that we now have. I see what they need developmentally and how recreation plays such a vital role. Now more than ever, we play together as a family and I am learning games taken from class and doing them as a family! It’s a great time!

So now onto dreams really coming true!!! I was offered a change to start my journey on truly giving back to a community.. follow my passions and showing my kids first hand that we can truly make a difference by taking action! So, in a nutshell… my first action plan is going to helping change the lives of villagers suffering from poverty for 2 weeks in May 2010. So for 2 weeks, I will be re-building a school house AND building a fresh water reserve so that ALL villagers will have access in their homes to fresh water. I am so excited and I love that my kids are seeing how with a single vision, each and every one of us can truly make a difference- we just need to believe that we can!

I am sooo blessed with this opportunity and I have the support of my family, friends and community! An article came out on THursday about my fundraising efforts and I am so excited that I have the support of these incredible people around me that have made it possible for me to go and help.

This Thursday I will be appearing on Roger’s Daytime Ottawa TV show to get even more exposure for my fundraising efforts! In my Thursday class where i am taking a Matermind group, studying Think and Grow Rich, I have the amazing supports of my peers and they have been amazing in helping my fundraise! I am soooo truly blessed by the generosity of people around me.

My kids are not only excited about my efforts to make other people lives better, they are pretty excited to spend time with their Nanna who is excitred to come and spend time with her grandkids. Everything is lined up and I am soooo excited!

I also started Beachbody’s Power90 and currently on workout #3 of Week #7!!! I love the program and seeing real results… LOVE IT! Tony Horton is the MAN!!!

Ok, well enough for today…. LOL.. I’ll be talking a LOT about Fiji and excited to share this story with you as it unfolds. Thanks again for all your emails and I am excited to be back writing! It’s long overdue!

Yours in Abundance!
